Job summary

Virtual Technologies Group, LLC. is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee planning, scheduling, and delivery of client IT projects from onboarding to closeout. You will coordinate across sales, engineering, and the client to maintain timelines, budgets, and scope while ensuring smooth handoffs to support teams.

The role emphasizes communication with non-technical stakeholders, strong organization, and proficiency with PSA/PM tools to drive project profitability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project coordination/management experience in MSP/IT services.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure concepts (networking, servers, Azure/M365).
• Strong organizational skills with multi-project management capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences.
• Experience with PSA/PM tools: ConnectWise, Smartsheet, MS Project, Monday.com, Asana.
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills for budgets and resource tracking.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of concurrent client projects from kickoff to closeout.
• Lead new client onboarding, document gathering, and monitoring setup.
• Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets using PSA/PM tools.
• Coordinate scheduling among engineers, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Serve as primary client contact during active projects with status updates.
• Track scope and changes, flag creep, and manage change orders.
• Procure hardware/software and licensing for project delivery.
• Identify risks and resource conflicts and escalate as needed.
• Maintain project documentation (SOWs, plans, runbooks).
• Monitor hours vs. budget to support project profitability.
• Facilitate handoff to managed services and continuous improvement.
