Job summary

Western Agency in Minot, ND or Aberdeen, SD is seeking an Account Manager to support personal lines accounts in an in-office role. You will service client needs, maintain carrier relationships, and partner with producers on renewals and policy deliveries.

The ideal candidate brings experience with personal lines, strong communication, and a P&C license (or willingness to obtain one). Proficiency in MS Office and strong organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting personal lines insurance accounts in an agency environment.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related business software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
• Property & Casualty (P&C) license, or the ability and willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Build comprehensive and accurate risk profiles that help protect client assets and support long-term coverage strategies.
• Partner with producers on presentations, policy delivery, and renewal discussions to strengthen client relationships and retention.
• Manage day-to-day servicing needs for personal lines accounts, including policy changes, billing inquiries, claims assistance, applications, and quoting.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and underwriters to support effective placement and service outcomes.
• Review and renew existing coverages to help ensure clients maintain appropriate protection as their needs evolve.
• Issue certificates, binders, and evidence of property documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain detailed and accurate policy records within the agency management system.
• Support the overall client experience by proactively addressing questions, coverage concerns, and service requests.
