Job summary

Chatham Financial is seeking a Hedge Accounting Operations Specialist to join the Accounting Operations team in Colorado. You will own workflows for clients’ hedging programs, linking business objectives to accounting and reporting requirements, and collaborating with advisors and specialists across Chatham.

You will develop expertise in ChathamDirect, support month- and quarter-end processes, and engage with clients on reporting and trade activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage operational and accounting workflows for a portfolio of clients with appropriate ownership based on experience.
• Develop understanding of clients' hedging programs and translate objectives into accounting and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review trade documentation, setup, analyses, and client deliverables across hedge strategies and derivatives.
• Develop expertise in ChathamDirect to process activity, troubleshoot issues, and support client reporting.
• Support month- and quarter-end reporting processes and multi-step client workflows.
• Communicate with clients regarding reporting, trade activity, and other operational matters as needed.
• Coordinate across advisors and teams to involve stakeholders in complex workflows.
• Follow controls and identify risks; contribute to fixes and improvements; explore automation opportunities.
• Share knowledge and coach colleagues to grow technical and operational capabilities.
