Job summary

Smoker & Company LLC in Leola, PA is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Client Services team. This full-time role supports client financial success by maintaining accurate records and day-to-day bookkeeping while delivering responsive service to clients using their accounting systems.

You will reconcile accounts, process payables/receivables, assist with month-end close, and meet with clients as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
Minimum of three years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
Experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and accuracy.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintain timely financial records for multiple clients, including transactions and journal entries.
Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts and address discrepancies.
Process accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, payments, and collections.
Assist with month-end and year-end close and related reporting.
Communicate with clients by phone, email, and meetings to resolve issues.
Travel to client locations as needed to support bookkeeping services.
Support special projects and data organization as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
