Job summary

Smoker & Company LLC is seeking a detail-oriented, service-focused Bookkeeper to join our Client Services team. This full-time role supports client financial success by maintaining accurate records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, providing responsive client service, and meeting with clients as needed to support their accounting and bookkeeping needs.

The ideal candidate enjoys bookkeeping, takes pride in accuracy, and is comfortable working directly with clients and their accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop and multi-client environments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented and accurate.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain timely financial records for multiple clients.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
• Process accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing support.
• Communicate with clients by phone, email, and virtual meetings.
• Travel to client locations as needed.
• Support special bookkeeping projects and data cleanup.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
