Vontas seeks a Customer Engineer to act as the primary technical consultant for multiple clients in the Boston area. You will troubleshoot, configure CAD/AVL systems, and coordinate with internal teams to implement new products. The role involves on-site and remote support, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and knowledge transfer.

You will lead training sessions, manage maintenance agreements, and create helpful reports and documentation to maximize system adoption and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent with proven training in network administration.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of CAD/AVL and transit industry ok/advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supports external customers and Vontas staff with problem tracking, resolution, and escalation.
• Coordinate and conduct in-person and remote customer meetings and training as needed.
• Keep customers informed of problem status and resolution.
• Review outstanding cases with customers on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Support onsite vehicle hardware and software solutions.
• Manage maintenance agreements with clients.
• Create development reports, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
• Lead software configuration sessions with customers; deliver training as needed.
