Job summary

Cognex Corporation is seeking a Project Manager with external customer facing experience to drive project success within our fast-paced culture. You will lead cross-functional teams, assess risks, and deliver Cognex-designed solutions that meet customer requirements for quality, delivery and service.

You will actively plan resources, maintain relationships during pre- and post-sale phases, and manage scope, documentation, and communication across internal and external stakeholders to achieve

Qualifications

• BA degree in a technical discipline or relevant equivalent professional experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of 3+ years' experience as a project manager in high-tech services or related field.
• On-call availability to respond to customer emergencies; may require evenings/weekends.
• Willingness to travel 20–50% depending on region and customer needs.
• English language proficiency required; PM certifications (PMP, CSCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively plan, organize, and align internal and external resources to meet the project schedule and budget.
• Maintain and develop effective relationships with customers pre- and post-sale.
• Develop project schedules and track progress; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Define scope changes and ensure customer acceptance via all providers.
• Manage all project documentation for handoff to service or customer teams.
