Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead projects from proposal through completion, ensuring the scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met. You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, develop schedules, monitor progress, manage risks, and maintain strong client relationships, with travel to client sites as required.

This role requires clear communication with stakeholders, accurate reporting, and proactive problem solving to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an accredited engineering discipline (civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, or similar).
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a consulting or industrial environment.
• Minimum 2 years supporting projects in chemical, refining, utility, municipal, transportation, or industrial sectors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules.
• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally out of town for meetings.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from proposal to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams through all phases of project execution.
• Plan and oversee engineering design activities to ensure quality and client requirements.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to stay on track.
• Maintain relationships with clients and serve as main point of contact.
• Prepare status reports and communicate project performance to stakeholders.
• Support planning, resource allocation, and workload forecasting.
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and change management.
• Travel to client facilities for meetings, site visits, and on-site assignments.
