Job summary

Arbutus Search Group is seeking a Mass Timber Specialist to join its design-focused business development team. You will bridge technical design, business development, and consultative sales, working with architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and other professionals to identify optimized mass timber solutions for commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Structural/ Civil Eng, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• 2+ years in architectural or structural design or construction management in commercial construction.
• Experience reviewing complex structural plans and shop drawings.
• Mass timber knowledge is a plus, but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a key market contact for bid requests, budget inquiries, and RFPs with estimating, engineering, and project management to prepare bids.
• Reviewing drawings, specs, and project requirements to recommend cost-effective solutions while preserving design intent.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with designers, developers, installers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Partnering with senior sales leadership to execute market growth initiatives and attend industry events and plant tours.
• Serving as the primary customer point of contact during kickoff ensuring scope and expectations are clear.
