Job summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP is seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer for onsite client work in New Jersey. You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and microservices, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver secure, high‑performing solutions.

You will build back-end APIs, implement security, and support CI/CD and cloud deployment across AWS/Azure/GCP. Expect Agile practices, peer reviews, and a strong emphasis on quality engineering.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• 4+ years in Java/Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security.
• 3+ years designing or consuming RESTful APIs and working with microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and microservices.
• Build and maintain full-stack applications using Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and distribute microservices with scalable design patterns.
• Design and optimize database integrations using SQL, Hibernate/JPA, and Spring Data with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Implement security practices (OAuth2, JWT, encryption) and secure data handling.
• Support CI/CD and cloud deployments (Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS, GCP).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and performance tuning; communicate with stakeholders.
