Job summary

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Software Engineer II - Java Full Stack Developer to join our Project Delivery Talent Model. You will design, build, and optimize backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB, and MSSQL.

You will work with cross-functional teams on AI platforms and consumer devices, delivering production-ready solutions. You will collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps, engage in code reviews, design discussions, and production support, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in software/systems/embedded engineering.
• Strong Java/J2EE, Core Java, and multithreading experience.
• 3+ years deploying AI solutions, or high-performance platforms.
• Experience with Spring Boot and backend service design.
• Strong MSSQL skills including complex queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with Kafka or similar event-driven messaging.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams; travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MSSQL, MongoDB.
• Develop scalable APIs and event-driven components for market technology applications.
• Write efficient multithreaded Java code and address performance and reliability issues.
• Create and optimize database queries and data access patterns.
• Assist integration and message-driven workflows using Kafka.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, production-ready solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies.
