Job summary

Owkin is seeking a Forward Deployed Computational Biologist to operate at the intersection of AI, software systems, and biology. You will design, build, and deploy production‑grade AI solutions for complex scientific problems as part of Owkin’s agentic platform, K Pro, to meet specific client needs.

This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role requiring time at client premises to turn ambiguous challenges into reliable and scalable agentic solutions, bridging science and real-world application.

Qualifications

• Education: MSc/PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven ability to analyze complex data, including real-world clinical data and multimodal omics.
• Biological knowledge across major therapeutic areas (oncology, immunology, neurology).
• Bias for action in fast-paced environments, managing ambiguity.
• Strong Python programming and production-grade coding.
• Familiarity with ML concepts and frameworks; experience with LLMs is a plus.
• Excellent communication translating science to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deploy & Custom-build Owkin’s K Pro platform to client needs by implementing new analytical workflows.
• Translate complex biological questions into computational workflows using multimodal data.
• Iterate rapidly with users to validate solutions and ensure measurable impact.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, R&D data scientists, biologists, and software engineers.
• Transfer knowledge across clinicians, biologists, and engineers to ensure adoption.
• Participate in team-wide on-call rotation.
• Frequent international travel to the US, UK, France, Germany, and Switzerland; proximity to major airport/train station required.
