Job summary

Steel Ridge Partners is seeking a Business Analyst / Project Manager to lead discovery, planning, and delivery of complex software initiatives. You will bridge business needs with technical execution, ensuring clear requirements and measurable client value.

You will own the full lifecycle, mentor junior staff, and work with engineering, design, and leadership to align solutions with client objectives. A strong consulting mindset and ownership culture are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or hybrid delivery roles in software/tech consulting.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, CS, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder software projects from discovery to delivery.
• Strong experience eliciting, documenting, and validating business/functional requirements.
• Experience managing scope, timelines, and priorities in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.
• Knowledge of Agile, hybrid, or waterfall software lifecycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with planning/delivery tools like Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements discovery and translate business needs into clear deliverables for engineering teams.
• Own project planning and execution across scope, timeline, budget, risks, and dependencies.
• Facilitate client meetings and stakeholder interviews to drive alignment.
• Develop and maintain roadmaps, requirements docs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and status reports.
• Serve as primary client contact, building trust through transparency and accountability.
• Partner with engineering, design, and leadership to ensure feasible, well-scoped solutions.
