Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an engineer to transform incompletely defined business needs into working software with a technical approach. This hands-on, client-facing role involves refining requirements with stakeholders and delivering production-grade AI-enabled applications.

You will work across client delivery, product development, and rapid proofs of concept, contributing to designs and simplifying AI where possible. U.S. citizenship is required for assigned engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience building applications that integrate large language models and AI capabilities.
• Experience integrating AI with APIs, data handling, and user-facing functionality.
• Familiarity with Python, TypeScript, or SQL and API integration.

Responsibilities

• Take a defined technical approach and build production-quality functionality.
• Participate in requirements discussions with business stakeholders to understand workflow and outcomes.
• Contribute to solution design and simplify where possible, reducing AI components when appropriate.
• Build complete applications that integrate AI capabilities with prompts, retrieval design, and API integration.
• Investigate failures and implement fixes; support client demos and POCs.
