Job summary

Raphael & Associates in Rutherford, NJ is seeking an experienced Accounting Services Team Lead to support back-office accounting operations. You will lead a team responsible for client escrow accounts, funding monitoring, and payments, while delivering detailed client reporting and ensuring data integrity.

The role is in-office, reporting to senior leadership. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, supervisory experience, and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration.
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is strongly desired, especially in accounting/operations/back-office roles.
• Supervisory/Management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct team of accounting operations specialists responsible for daily management of client escrow accounts.
• Monitor funding levels and interact with clients to arrange additional funding when necessary.
• Issue checks and other payments (wire transfers, ACH) and provide detailed client reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts and ensure data integrity in core systems.
• Assist in evaluating internal controls and improving department processes.
