Job summary

Chubb Benefits is seeking a Service Consultant to join our fast-paced team in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on servicing employer groups, resolving client needs, and maintaining strong relationships with sales partners and internal teams.

You'll manage in-force policies, coordinate with cross-functional groups, and help improve client experience while mentoring new hires and supporting ongoing knowledge development.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree is strongly preferred; equivalent work experience may substitute.
• 3 years of group benefits insurance industry experience preferred.
• Experience in account management or field sales support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, research & respond to all inquiries related to an employer group, develop knowledge of policies, premium & billing, and enrollment processing (level 2+).
• Liaison between external client & sales partners and internal teams via Service email inquiries (level 2+).
• Coordinate with internal Customer Experience Delivery teams to project manage complex service requests for timely resolution.
• Proactively manage client and agent expectations and communicate status, issues, and timelines.
• Update policyholder and group records and related items as needed.
• Effectively project manage Salesforce Case workload.
• Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with internal and external clients.
• Collaborate with internal partners to improve processes and procedures.
• Assist Account Managers in growing the account and increasing satisfaction.
• Mentor & train new hires and support team knowledge development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
