The Client Development Manager “CDM” is an individual contributor responsible for driving revenue growth through new business development and new client acquisition. This role is focused on identifying prospective clients, creating new relationships, generating staffing opportunities, and closing new business within an assigned market. The CDM is a hunter-focused role dedicated to identifying and developing new business opportunities, with a primary focus on establishing new client relationships and driving new account growth. The CDM will partner closely with recruiting and account leadership to deliver staffing solutions and ensure a successful transition of newly acquired business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a targeted strategy to identify and penetrate new prospective clients within assigned market
• Identify, prospect, and build relationships with key decision‑makers across Technology, Procurement, HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leadership
• Create opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, market intelligence, and existing relationships
• Lead the full sales lifecycle for new business opportunities, from initial prospecting and discovery through solution development, negotiation, and closing
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while consistently achieving new business and revenue goals
• Develop trusted relationships with hiring managers and key decision‑makers within prospective clients

• Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through responsive communication and service delivery
• Partner closely with recruiting teams to ensure successful delivery of client requirements
• Maintain consistent communication throughout the recruiting and placement process
• Share client feedback, competitive intelligence, and market trends with leadership and recruiting teams
• Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasts, and client information within internal systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of business development or account management experience preferably within IT staffing or professional services
• Proven track record of developing new business and growing client accounts
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship building skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
