Job summary

RIMOWA GmbH is seeking a Client Care Technician to repair and troubleshoot damaged luggage. You will inspect used and returned products, repair or replace defective parts with hand tools, and test for proper function according to company standards.

This role involves estimating repair costs for labor and materials, assisting training of trainees and staff, handling materials, and ensuring workplace safety per OSHA.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a manufacturing/technical environment with hands-on experience using small hand tools.
• Ability to perform repair tasks using hand and power tools with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working under OSHA safety guidelines and in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect used and returned products to determine repair requirements.
• Repair or replace defective parts and components using hand, power, or specialized tools.
• Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning per company standards.
• Determine estimates for repair costs including labor and materials.
• Inspect new products for defects or shipping damage and communicate findings to relevant parties.
• Operate computerized inventory records for internal and external tracking of department needs and stock.
• Assist Head Technician in training CC Technician Trainee and store employees.
• Load, unload and move materials manually or with hand-operated equipment.
• Perform additional material handling tasks such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking.
• Ensure standards for safe working conditions per OSHA; maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Support continuous learning and collaboration with team members.

The Client Care Technician serves clients by performing repairs and troubleshooting any problems that arise with damaged luggage.

Job responsibilities

• Inspect used and returned products to determine the requirement for repair.
• Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power, or specially designed tools
• Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning as per company standards
• Determine estimates for repair cost on used and returned products regarding both labor and material required
• Inspect new products to determine manufacturers’ defect or shipping damage to communicate to necessary parties
• Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems for internal and external tracking of the service & repair department needs, stock supplies and requests
• Assist Head Technician on training of CC Technician Trainee and/or store employees
• Load, unload and move materials either manually or with hand operated equipment
• May perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking for the service & repair department requirements
• Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are observed per OSHA regulations
• Responsible of daily cleaning of work areas and equipment

Profile
