Job Title: Social Worker - LMSW

Division: Services

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Location: Bronx, NY

Reports To: Director of Social Services

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000

Summary:

The LMSW is responsible for coordinating outpatient and inpatient mental health and substance abuse services for a 30-unit families with children homeless shelter. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Manage a small caseload of high-risk families with children.
2. Facilitate weekly mental health and substance abuse workshops and onsite support groups for clients.
3. Knowledge of community resources, making appropriate referrals, and coordinating services.
4. Assess psychosocial functioning and needs to develop and implement treatment plans.
5. Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide treatment from a strength-based, client-centered perspective.
6. Knowledge of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures.
7. Provide consultation to staff regarding clients' psychosocial needs and health care compliance.
8. Use computer software for documentation, data management, and tracking.
9. Provide crisis intervention and stabilization, including after-hours or weekend follow-up as needed.
10. Ensure timely review, signing, and submission of all documentation and reports.
11. Identify program needs and recommend improvements.
12. Perform related tasks as assigned.

Experience, Education, and Special Requirements:

Must have an LMSW, a master's degree in social work from an accredited school, and at least two years of specialized social work experience. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
