Job summary

Avets in Monroeville, PA is seeking a part-time Veterinary Client Care Coordinator to join our emergency and specialty veterinary team. You will greet clients and patients, manage check-in/out, differentiate cases between specialty or emergency care, and assist with payments and scheduling in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate client communication, multi-tasking across front desk duties, and keeping records accurate using our practice management software.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary or human health is preferred (1 year).
• Escalated client complaint resolution preferred (1 year).
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients on entry and exit.
• Assist clients at check-in and check-out.
• Differentiate cases between specialty or emergency care.
• Take payments and guide clients on payment options.
• Assist with phone calls and scheduling.
• Maintain medical and financial records in the practice management software.
• Communicate with referring veterinary offices and obtain referrals.
• Keep waiting area and exam rooms clean and comfortable.
• Show compassion for animals and reduce client stress during hospitalization.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Veterinary Client Care Coordinator

Location: Monroeville, PA

Schedule: Part Time | 1st Shift | 2 Ten Hour Shifts Per Week | Includes Weekends | Potential for a 3rd overnight weeknight shift | Flexibility to pick up additional shifts is a plus!

Compensation: $18-20/hr | Weekend Shift Differentials + $2.50

In Your Day-To-Day, You Will:

• Greet clients and patients upon entry and exit of our facility.
• Assist clients at check in and check out.
• Differentiate cases between specialty or emergency care.
• Take payments for services and assist clients with payment resources as needed.
• Assist with phone calls and scheduling.
• Maintain medical and financial records through our practice management software.
• Communicate with referring veterinary offices and obtain referral information as needed.
• Keeping the waiting area and exam rooms clean and comfortable for our clients and patients.
• Show compassion for animals and their owners, as well as understand and work to alleviate the stress that clients endure while their pets are hospitalized.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

What You Bring:

• Escalated client complaint resolution: 1 year (Preferred)
• Veterinary or human health: 1 year (Preferred)
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Enjoy interacting with clients and patients.
• Comfortability working through email, phone and in person.
• Be able to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
• Proficiency with computer entry and modern office technology.
• Have a great attitude!
