Full-Time | Starting at $27.00 plus Commission/Bonus

At Home Instead Long Beach, we help seniors age with dignity, independence, and the support they need to remain safely at home.

We're looking for a compassionate, confident, and solutions-focused Client Care Advisor to guide prospective clients and families through their care journey, build strong relationships with existing clients, and help connect more families in our community with the support they need.

This is a client-facing role that combines care consultations, relationship management, quality assurance, and community outreach. You'll work directly with seniors and their families while collaborating with our internal team to ensure each client receives a personalized and positive care experience.

What You'll Do

As a Client Care Advisor, you'll serve as a trusted resource for prospective and existing clients and their families—from the initial conversation through ongoing care.

Client Consultations & Care Solutions
  • Conduct in-home and client-facing consultations and needs assessments to understand each family's situation and identify appropriate care solutions.
  • Educate prospective clients and families on Home Instead services and guide them through their available care options.
  • Develop initial care recommendations based on the client's needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Support a smooth transition from the initial consultation to the start of care.
Client Relationships & Quality Assurance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families throughout their care experience.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance visits in clients' homes to assess changing needs, gather feedback, and ensure services continue to meet expectations.
  • Proactively identify concerns and work with the appropriate team members to develop solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted resource by providing guidance and recommendations based on individual care needs and available service options.
  • Follow up consistently on commitments, concerns, and changes in client needs.
Community Relations & Growth
  • Build relationships within the community and help increase awareness of Home Instead's services.
  • Identify and cultivate new referral opportunities throughout Long Beach, Downey, and surrounding communities.
  • Attend networking events, community meetings, educational events, and industry functions to strengthen Home Instead's presence in the community.
  • Educate referral partners and community professionals on Home Instead's non-medical home care services.
  • Recognize opportunities to connect prospective clients and families with Home Instead and communicate those opportunities to the team.
Collaboration & Documentation
  • Collaborate closely with Service Coordination, Staffing, Recruitment, and leadership to support successful client experiences.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation of client interactions, visits, concerns, and follow-up.
  • Communicate changes in client needs promptly to ensure the appropriate team members can respond.
  • Utilize company software and communication tools to manage client information, follow-up, and ongoing care coordination.
What Success Looks Like

The successful Client Care Advisor will:

  • Build trusting relationships with seniors, families, and community partners.
  • Conduct thoughtful consultations that identify needs and connect families with appropriate care solutions.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Proactively identify changes in client needs and opportunities to improve the care experience.
  • Contribute to client retention, satisfaction, and agency growth.
  • Generate new client opportunities through community relationships, networking, and outreach.
  • Maintain timely, thorough documentation and strong communication with the internal team.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant coursework in Gerontology, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a service-oriented, client-facing role involving relationship management and problem resolution.
  • Experience in senior care, home care, hospice, home health, senior living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, social services, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong consultative communication skills and the ability to comfortably guide families through sensitive conversations.
  • Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and follow-through.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working both independently in the field and collaboratively with an office-based team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn client management and documentation systems.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the service territory.
