Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Client Advisor on the Employee Health & Benefits team to work closely with producers and clients to design effective employee benefits programs.

You will provide strategic and tactical consulting on an assigned book of business, manage renewals, deliver proactive service, and help identify new business opportunities through existing relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Experience managing, implementing and renewing group health & welfare plans including medical, dental, ancillary, FSA and COBRA plans.
• Working knowledge of ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other state and federal employee benefit regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop employee benefits programs with producers and clients.
• Provide strategic and tactical consulting on an assigned book of business.

A day in the life.

As our Client Advisor on the Employee Health & Benefits team, you'll work closely with producers and clients to develop effective employee benefits programs. You will provide strategic and tactical consulting on an assigned book of business by forming effective business relationships. This is done through proactive client service, managing the renewal process, and providing ongoing problem resolution. The Client Advisor also supports development of new business opportunities through prospects and existing relationships.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Working knowledge of employee benefit plans with 7+ years of industry experience and demonstrated relationship management skills with 3+ years of client management responsibilities.
• Experience managing, implementing and renewing group health & welfare plans including medical, dental, ancillary, FSA and COBRA plans.
• Working knowledge of ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other state and federal employee benefit regulations.
• Strong understanding of the key challenges in employee benefit plans, current health care trends, and underwriting & financial techniques.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects while ensuring timely and accurate client deliverables, with effective problem solving and resolution skills.
• Strong organizational, project planning and management, analytical and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent relationship building and presentation skills.
• Superior listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required.
• State Life/Health insurance license required (can obtain after hire.)
• Ability to lead a small team of people and work towards common goals.
• Ability to provide strategic, tactical and collaborative consulting in partnership with Producers.
• Perform claims and utilization analysis, projections, and contribution modeling in partnership with Actuarial team on self-funded clients.
