Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred; experience may substitute.
• 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
• CPA or CMA license preferred or working towards obtaining one of these licenses.
• Advanced knowledge of general ledger accounting and principles.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Proficient with computers and accounting software such as QuickBooks and Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and monitor client needs.
• Serve as a key contact on day-to-day accounting matters for the client.
• Actively manages clients' day-to-day accounting needs, functioning as their accounting dept.
• Review bank activity and other accounting transactions for clients.
• Review reconciliations of client bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
• Review and assist with month-end balancing and journal entries and provide analyses of GL accounts.
• Communicate month-end results to clients.
• Ensure timely completion of the month-end process for clients.
• Review reports, returns, and other documents including tax forms.
• Provide mentoring and technical training for staff in the department.
• Perform client billings for accounting services.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell Eide Bailly services to clients.
• Participate in business development.
