Job summary

Rivero, Gordimer & Co., P.A. (RGCO) in Tampa, FL is seeking a senior full-charge bookkeeper to manage multiple clients' books, tax and reporting within a CPA firm setting.

You will handle payroll, sales tax, 1099s, journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes while collaborating with department managers to support the firm's goals.

Qualifications

• Full charge bookkeeper experience in a CPA firm required.
• 5+ years bookkeeping experience required.
• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 5+ years QuickBooks Online and Desktop experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel at least intermediate.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Financial statement expertise required.
• Thomson Reuters Accounting Creative Solutions software preferred.
• CCH ProSystem Fixed Assets software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients' financial reporting and general ledger structures.
• Maintain and reconcile client accounting in QuickBooks Desktop/QBO and Accounting Creative Solutions.
• Prepare accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other reports.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual sales tax returns and multi-state returns.
• Process payroll and payroll tax returns.
• Prepare vendor 1099-Misc at year end.
• Occasionally cover Accounts Payable roles.
• Handle fixed assets and capital projects tracking.
• Prepare and post journal entries and close processes.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure timely reporting of financial and non-financial reports.
• Collaborate with department managers and executives to support company goals.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of multiple clients' financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Maintain and reconcile multiple clients' accounting in QuickBooks Desktop/ QBO and Accounting Creative Solutions
• Prepare accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Annual sales tax return and multi state returns
• Process payroll, including annual and quarterly payroll tax returns
• Prepare vendor 1099-Misc at year end
• Occasionally cover for the Accounts Payable roles
• Handle fixed asset and capital project tracking

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial and non-financial reports

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a full charge bookkeeper in a CPA firm required
• 5+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role required
• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
• 5+ years of QuickBooks online and QuickBooks Desktop experience required
• Experience Microsoft Office applications with at least intermediate understanding of Excel
• Proven ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
• Able to manage workflow and meet deadlines and work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Financial statement expertise is a must
• Thompson Reuter Accounting Creative Solution software preferred
• CCH ProSystem Fixed Assets software experience preferred

Base Compensation

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, plus overtime commensurate with experience.
