Job summary

Grassi seeks a Client Accounting Services Senior to join our team at locations including White Plains, NYC, Park Ridge, and Jericho. You will perform core accounting duties, maintain the general ledger, and support monthly closes with a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, financial statement support, and basic forecasting while ensuring GAAP compliance and timely deliverables. CPA preferred and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
• CPA and/or in process of obtaining CPA preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, initiative, and leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Advanced level QuickBooks skills desired.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work in team environment and to work additional hours as needed.
• Maintains a high level of professionalism and consistently demonstrates respect for others.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the general ledger and posting journal entries.
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Supporting monthly and quarterly financial statements and workpapers.
• Performing bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Analyzing financial information to support GL activity.
• Assisting with cash flow tracking and basic forecasting.
• Ensuring deadlines and compliance-related filings are met.
• Assisting with response to tax notices and inquiries.
• Conducting analytical procedures to identify trends and variances.
• Adhering to GAAP and firm/client policies.
• Communicating with clients on deliverables and updates.
• Collaborating with senior team members on special projects.
