Job summary

Grassi seeks an Audit Senior Associate to join our team in Jericho, NY; New York, NY; Park Ridge, NJ. You will lead SEC audits, manage client relationships, and supervise staff across multiple engagements. Strong knowledge of SEC rules, GAAP, and SOX is essential, with CPA preferred or actively pursued.

The role requires 3–5 years of public accounting experience, travel as needed, and a collaborative, high-standards mindset within a growing firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Masters preferred.
• 3–5 years progressive audit experience in public accounting.
• SEC registrants experience required; CPA preferred or pursuing.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work additional hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEC audit engagements from planning to delivery.
• Manage client relationships and primary SEC contact.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff.
• Review audit workpapers and financial disclosures for SEC/GAAP compliance.
• Evaluate ICFR and SOX controls; propose improvements.
• Prepare complex audit documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with partners to develop audit strategies.
• Support talent development and performance reviews.
