Job summary

American Forest Management, Inc. (AFM) in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Full-time Client Accountant with a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance and 4–6 years of accounting experience. You will manage AP/AR, perform month-end closings, and support audits while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of forestry accounting software (FPA/LIMS/Yardi) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AP and AR for multiple clients.
• Perform month-end bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Coordinate weekly owner/producer payments for wood settlements.
• Support year-end audits and tax reporting.
• Provide high level client service and maintain relationships.
