Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA holder or actively pursuing CPA.
• 2 to 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Big 4 or national public accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience researching accounting issues and applying technical accounting guidance.
• Experience preparing account reconciliations, support schedules, analyses, and audit documentation.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reconciliations and support files for key balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Prepare documentation and schedules for diligence, lender, and audit requests, and support working capital analysis for transactions.
• Build revenue, margin, inventory, and ad hoc financial analyses using Excel and ERP data.
• Document and improve accounting processes, partnering with Finance and IT to strengthen ERP data quality and controls.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting schedules, consolidated financial reporting, and footnote/disclosure support.
• Coordinate with external auditors and respond to audit requests, improving the quality and organization of reporting support.
• Research and apply U.S. GAAP to complex or emerging transactions, contracts, and business initiatives.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and support policy development as new standards are adopted.

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented accounting professional to join their Finance team in the Charlotte, NC area. This role will support the company's accounting and financial reporting needs with a focus on technical accounting, transaction readiness, audit support, balance sheet quality, and financial analysis.

This position is ideal for a strong Senior Accountant with public accounting or similarly rigorous experience who wants broad exposure to complex accounting matters and high-impact finance projects. The role will work closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to improve supportability of financial information, assist with diligence and audit readiness, and help translate accounting guidance into practical business application.

Key Responsibilities
