Job summary

Gallagher is hiring a Client Staff Accountant to join the Risk Program Administrators division in the United States. You will perform daily and monthly accounting tasks to support client fulfillment, including high-volume AR, journal entries, and month-end close.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of accounting experience, with strong Excel and MS Office skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of high-volume AR functions for insurance programs.
• Communicate with clients regarding payments and balances.
• Prepare backup documentation and enter journal entries.
• Assist with month-end close processes.
• Monitor and audit incoming payments (ACH and checks).
• Perform data reconciliations between systems.
• Record and post client invoices and payments.
• Assist with external audits and inquiries.
