Job summary

Northfield Park Racino in Ohio is seeking a Mutuel Clerk to assist guests with placing wagers on horses and sports globally. You will handle tickets, payouts, cash handling, and maintain stations according to casino policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for race and sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensure compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statues and regulations
• Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary
• Stock Race & Sports book Writer/Cashier's stations with adequate supplies; keep all stations neat and clean
• Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs
• Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash-handling policies and procedures
• Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests
• Ensure the protection of customer’s rewards and adherence to credit lines
• Notify management of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity
• Help patrons with withdrawals/deposits for online accounts
• Performs other job-related duties as requested
