Job summary

Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking a Clerk (1161) in Amarillo, TX to provide clerical support within the Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Service Coordination program. The role focuses on trauma-informed communication with clients across the Texas Panhandle.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 6 months of clerical experience, plus proficiency with computers and typing 45 wpm. Valid TX driver’s license and 18+ years of age are needed. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 12 college credits OR ABLE-based equivalency.
• 6 months of clerical experience required.
• Experience with computers and basic terminology.
• Type at least 45 words per minute.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional communications using trauma-informed language.
• Edit documents from Service Coordinators received by email.
• Maintain and update client files and contact information.
• Dispatch documents to Medical Records and make copies for clients.
• Assist Service Coordinators with electronic health records on assigned caseloads.
• Contact clients in the HSC Waiver Interest List and update via Texas portal.
