This full-time, monthly-paid position requires attention to detail, experience with MS Office, and the ability to work with campus staff across departments. The role reports to the department leader and includes inventories and asset reporting.

Qualifications

Compensation Details: Starting Pay - $37,900

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm, Varies based ondepartment needs

Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing clerical support foracquiring, tracking, controlling, and disposing of the College’sfixed assets and maintaining related asset records.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*
  • Follows College procedures and state guidelines for theacquisition, maintenance, and disposition of fixed assets andassociated asset records
  • Maintains fixed asset records by adding new acquisitions,reviewing and processing equipment transfer requests, and preparingand processing equipment disposal requests
  • Locates and enters new equipment acquisitions into the fixedasset database and calculates asset acquisition values fromitemized invoices using spreadsheets and mathematicalcomputations
  • Identifies and properly affixes asset tags to designated assetsand controlled equipment, replaces tags as needed, and maintainsasset records
  • Performs field inventories by physically locating and identifyingassets, updates asset records within the asset database usingmobile technology, reconciles counts to records, investigatesdiscrepancies, and prepares loss reports for appropriateleaders
  • Assists in locating missing assets, performing equipmenttransfers, reconciling exceptions, and providing summaries andstatus reports of pending exceptions
  • Assists in the organization of surplus property sales
  • Communicates effectively and maintains positive workingrelationships with faculty, staff, and College leadership regardingasset management activities
Service Excellence
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite
  • Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC)Institute
  • Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of theCollege
Supervision

Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Current valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable drivingrecord and reliable transportation
  • At least one (1) year’s working experience related to theEssential Performance Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree
  • Certified to drive a forklift and able to operate a poweredpallet jack

  • Knowledge of office environments and the use of standard officeequipment
  • Skilled in maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Skilled in organization and attention to detail
  • Skilled in using enterprise systems and Microsoft Officeapplications, including Outlook, Excel, Forms, and Teams
  • Skilled in providing excellent customer service and interpersonalsupport
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations such asmultiplication, division, and percentages
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accuracywhile managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, andCollege leadership regarding asset management activities
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and assist in resolving assetinventory and recordkeeping issues

The employee mustoccasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds unassisted, or up to50 pounds with the assistance of other employees or equipment asappropriate. Specific vision abilities required by this job includeclose vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here arerepresentative of those an employee encounters while performing theessential functions of this job. While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanicalparts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. Thenoise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Dutiesrequire regular travel between College campuses, facilities,warehouses, and off-site locations to conduct inventories, verifyassets, perform asset tagging activities, and support assetmanagement operations.
