The Vaccines for Children Program (VFC), established by an act of Congress in 1993, is a federal funded program that helps families by providing no-cost vaccines to doctors who serve eligible children 0 through 18 years of age. The VFC program is administered at the state level by the Immunization Branch of the California Department of Public Health.
Under the direct supervision of the VFC Program Health Education Supervisor, the Public Health Professional Worker performs a variety of duties such as filing, telephone assistance, photocopying, scheduling, and general clerical support.
