Job summary

Leidos in California, MD seeks a cleared Systems Engineer to support a military weapons systems-focused engineering effort. You will analyze, design, and evaluate software-based systems and related components to meet command and control requirements.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance with potential upgrade to TS/SCI, and extensive experience in systems engineering, requirements management, and model-based approaches within defense programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience.
US Citizen; active DoD Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
8+ years in systems engineering or related engineering/science field supporting precision guided missile systems.

Responsibilities

Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, and/or evaluate requirements for military weapons systems.
Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, and change proposals.
Apply systems engineering to perform requirement elicitation, management, tracing, integration, and configuration management.
Manage requirements and ensure traceability via COTS requirements management software.
