Job summary

VSO Inc. is seeking a cleared Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes/OpenShift) to join our Richardson, TX team on-site. The role emphasizes administering Kubernetes/OpenShift environments, refining IaC with Terraform, and maintaining GitOps pipelines using Argo CD.

A strong Linux background and security-conscious mindset are required. The candidate will work with AWS services, container registries, and monitoring stacks to ensure scalable, resilient infrastructure.

Qualifications

Experience administering Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
Strong Kubernetes resources knowledge: Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Namespaces, Jobs.
Experience with persistent storage: PVs, PVCs, StorageClasses, volume mounts.
IaC tooling experience with Terraform and related workflows.
Experience with Ansible playbooks, inventories, and automation workflows.
Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, CloudWatch).
Experience with Argo CD and GitOps deployment practices.
Familiarity with container registries (Harbor, Nexus, Artifactory).
Strong Linux system administration and networking skills; DNS, TCP/IP, ingress/egress, load balancing.
Experience with CI/CD (GitLab CI/CD) and monitoring/logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch).
Security: Kubernetes/OpenShift RBAC, ServiceAccounts, and secrets management.
