Job summary

NSC Staffing is seeking experienced Cleared Outside Machinists to support ship maintenance and repair projects in Norfolk, VA and Groton, CT. The role requires an Active Secret Clearance and strong mechanical skills to meet client standards.

Key duties include installation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard machinery, use of precision tools, and adherence to safety protocols. Per diem and hotel accommodations are provided for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance is required for this role.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as Marine Equipment Mechanic or Journeyman.
• Proficiency with shipboard hydraulic systems and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard machinery and systems.
• Operate portable machine tools and interpret blueprints and specs.
• Conduct testing and inspection during dock and sea trials.
• Collaborate with supervisors to maintain quality and safety standards.
