Qualifications

• 6+ years of Outside Machinist experience or mechanical experience in the shipyard.
• 6 years of experience reading designs and drawings.
• Experience working on valves, pumps, and hydraulics.
• 6 years of experience with PMI tools like Olliscopes, Calipers, and Gauges.
• Experience working on submarines or naval ships.

Responsibilities

• Assigned on a submarine at various locations.
• Repair valves, pumps, and hydraulics on submarines.
• Perform overhaul work (not new construction).
• Install hatches and covers.
• Grind, prep, and paint.
