Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Ohio seeks a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support critical facility infrastructure across data centers. You will operate electrical and mechanical equipment, perform routine rounds, and assist technicians.

The role emphasizes safety and adherence to SLAs while supporting a 24/7 staffing model. After training, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to advanced projects.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical data center equipment.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks (filters, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, ATS).
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Work a 12 hour shift (rotating days/nights).
• Take daily readings of mechanical and electrical equipment during rounds.
