Job summary

Goodwill Industries International, Inc. is looking for a retail manager in Utah to drive operations and ensure excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of retail management experience and will be responsible for overseeing financial targets and training team members.

Responsibilities

• Drive retail operations to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial goals.
• Monitor product levels and achieve sales budget targets.
• Manage payroll and operating costs within budget.
• Ensure delivery of excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Maintain store cleanliness and consistent brand appearance.
• Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
• Serve as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
• Train and develop store leadership and team members.
• Ensure donation attendants provide excellent service and proper sorting.
• Process, price, and display product per company standards to achieve store goals.
• Enforce security, health, and safety standards and related regulations.
• Partner with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance) to meet business goals.
• Maintain consistent in-person attendance.
• Oversee performance management, staffing, compensation, and team development.
• Lead company culture change efforts and change management.
• Model Goodwill core values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of retail management experience, preferably in thrift stores.
• Minimum five years of customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to pass a background check as applicable.
• Proficiency in reading and speaking English.
