Job summary

RTX in Lenexa, KS seeks a Cleanroom Testing Technician II to perform conformance and QA tests on oxygen products and systems. You will set up testing hardware, run procedures, and document results to verify electrical, mechanical and chemical performance.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with at least 1 year of related experience, and experience in a cleanroom environment is a plus. This is a full-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Job description

As a Cleanroom Testing Technician II, you will perform tests to assess conformance with engineering specifications for Oxygen Products. Set up testing apparatus and conduct quality assurance/control tests of raw materials, parts, components, finished items, packaging, equipment, and systems. Perform final tests on subassemblies or completed units as necessary to ensure proper functioning of electrical, Oxygen systems, mechanical, and chemical performance. The scope may include but is not limited to strength testing, thermal testing, chemical management, pyrometry and PSI testing.

What You Will Do
  • Work under direct supervision with limited discretion. Requires instructions to complete new assignments or activities.
  • Frequently use and apply technical principles, theories, and concepts. Apply acquired job skills in the execution of existing procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Follow routines to achieve day-to-day objectives. Use standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
  • Perform more involved tasks, requiring minor adjustments to work methods. Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of basic scope and complexity.
  • Work to deliver on day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on team results. Refer more complex issues to higher levels.
  • Perform engineering conformance testing from assisting with setup through executing final tests on finished products.
  • Conduct, design, and develop test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of products.
  • Follow company and manufacturing guidelines to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Carry out testing as assigned and record results.
  • Follow established testing procedures to ensure product reliability.
  • Conduct test simulations and record results.
  • Plan automated test scripts using scripting and programming languages.
  • Support technical investigations for defects discovered during test activities.
  • Communicate with team members to understand individual requirements.
  • Follow safety and quality standards.
  • All work is completed in an environmentally controlled clean room environment.
  • Require the donning and doffing of company-provided clean room suits at all times.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
