Job summary

Becton, Dickinson & Company is seeking a Research Assistant to support product development in a cleanroom laboratory environment. You will collaborate with Product Development Engineers to plan, execute, analyze, and report on material, process, and device evaluations using specialized laboratory equipment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a regulated medical device or similar environment.
  • Ability to document methods, results, and observations accurately.
  • Comfort with laboratory equipment and chemical handling.
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and cGMP documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, analyze, and report on R&D studies involving material, process, and device evaluations using lab equipment.
  • Document methods, results, and observations in notebooks, protocols, and reports; escalate deviations per compliance rules.
  • Support manufacturing in a cleanroom by following written/verbal work instructions to meet timelines and quality goals.
  • Handle APIs and solvents safely in controlled environments.
  • Maintain cleanroom and lab spaces; stock supplies, place orders, track deliveries, and verify materials with suppliers.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and continuous improvement activities related to cleanliness and compliance.
