SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory invites applications for a Facility Technician in the Detector Microfabrication Facility (DMF). The technician inspects, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots water and vacuum systems and supports the DMF tool suite in a high-precision environment.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, safety, and collaboration with engineers and scientists to ensure uptime and reliability of superconducting microelectronics fabrication processes.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, vacuum, water, or facility-systems is desirable.

Mansioni

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot water and vacuum systems per procedures.
• Support facility utilities for cleanroom and tool suite operations.
• Respond to equipment issues, gather data, and conduct corrective actions.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to procedures and tooling.
• Onsite work with potential after-hours response as needed.
