Job summary

Cambrex Corp. is seeking a Temporary Cleaning Technician to maintain a clean, safe manufacturing environment in accordance with cGMP. This role supports readiness by performing routine cleaning and housekeeping in production areas and control rooms.

You will follow established procedures, handle waste disposal, restock supplies, and assist with cleaning during equipment changeovers. The position emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and the ability to work independently in a regulated facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, janitorial, or commercial cleaning preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize manufacturing work centers, control rooms, and production areas according to procedures.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and wipe floors, walls, equipment exteriors, and surfaces.
• Remove trash, recyclables, and production waste per disposal procedures.
• Restock cleaning supplies and notify supervision when replenishment is needed.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces to support cGMP compliance and operational excellence.
• Clean windows, doors, cabinets, desks, and other facility furnishings.
• Assist with cleaning during equipment changeovers, shutdowns, or maintenance activities as directed.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Report damaged equipment, facility concerns, or safety hazards to supervision.
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain an organized workplace.

Job Overview

The Temporary Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment in accordance with company procedures and cGMP requirements. This position performs routine cleaning and housekeeping duties within manufacturing work centers and control rooms to support safe, efficient operations. This position does not operate manufacturing equipment or perform manufacturing processes but plays a critical role in maintaining production readiness and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize manufacturing work centers, control rooms, and designated production areas according to established procedures.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and wipe down floors, walls, equipment exteriors, work surfaces, and common touch points.
• Remove trash, recyclables, and production waste while following proper disposal procedures.
• Restock cleaning supplies and notify supervision when supplies require replenishment.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces to support cGMP compliance and operational excellence.
• Clean windows, doors, cabinets, desks, chairs, and other facility furnishings within assigned areas.
• Assist with cleaning during equipment changeovers, shutdowns, or maintenance activities as directed.
• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
• Report damaged equipment, facility concerns, or safety hazards to supervision.
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain an organized workplace.
• Perform other cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements

• Previous industrial, manufacturing, janitorial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
