• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Notify managers of necessary repairs.
• Collect and dispose of trash.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary

• Janitorial I assists Janitorial II in maintaining the general cleanliness and upkeep of the building common areas. This position must also follow safety precautions to prevent product contamination and injuries to self or others while maintaining compliance with cGMP protocols.

Schedule

2nd shift Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Overtime may be required for this position

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Adhere to safety protocols at all times and report facility or safety incidents to management.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Keeps facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
• Vacuums, sweeps, buffs and mops floors.
• Cleans and stocks restrooms.
• Restock cleaning supply closets.
• Cleans up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Notifies managers of necessary repairs.
• Collects and disposes of trash.
• Assists guests when necessary.
• Properly cleans upholstered furniture.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Technical Skills Required

• Interpret and complete a daily cleaning checklist.
• Use of electronic timecard or App for timekeeping and payroll purposes.
• Attention to detail.
• Basic math skills.
• Operate different cleaning equipment such as pressure washer, floor scrubber, floor buffer, etc. or willingness to learn.
• Able to read and write English (preferred).

Experience Required

• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Work well unsupervised.
• Work effectively with others.
• Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
• High school diploma (preferred).
• Hard worker.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch, stoop, push, and pull repeatedly.
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
• Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, and vibrations.
