Job summary

The Cleaning Technician (Evening) at the Arizona Cardinals Football Club is a part-time, non-exempt position based in Tempe, AZ. The role supports Facility Operations by performing cleaning, disinfecting, detailing, and basic maintenance to keep offices and public areas presentable, especially during events and schedules.

Typical shifts run 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM start times, 2–3 days per week, with in-person work and potential shifts on holidays. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of janitorial experience.
• Experience in a professional sports environment is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for eight-hour shifts.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on events.

Responsibilities

• Trash and waste disposal and re-line trash bins as needed.
• Clean interior and exterior building entrance areas.
• Dust and wipe railings, door handles, tables, furniture, partitions, walls, etc.
• Disinfect touch points throughout the facility.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpeted areas; sweep and mop hard surfaces.
• Clean and vacuum elevator and tracks; replenish bathroom supplies.
• Polish chrome and stainless-steel fixtures and touch points.
• Deep clean bathrooms, café, and other public areas.
• Maintain equipment and storage areas in good condition.
• Respond to spills or hazards promptly.

Reports to: Supervisor, Janitorial Operations

Location: Arizona Cardinals (Tempe, AZ) NOTE: Starting 2028, this role will be based at the new Arizona Cardinals Training Facility in north Phoenix, AZ.

Format: In-person

Schedule: This position works 8-hour shifts approximately 2–3 days per week, based on the NFL schedule and facility event calendar. Workdays may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typical shift start times are 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM, depending on the team's schedule and operational needs.

Summary

The Cleaning Technician is responsible for consistently ensuring the Business Office and/or Dignity Health Training Facility in Tempe, AZ looks professional, clean, presentable, and inviting; especially during routine cleaning and maintenance activities. This position is responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting, detailing, and maintenance functions of the building.

Primary Job Duties

• Trash and waste disposal and re-line trash bins as needed.
• Clean interior and exterior building entrance areas.
• Dust and wipe railings, door handles, tables, furniture, partitions, walls, etc.
• Clean glass cases, mirrors, and windows.
• Disinfect all touch points throughout the facility.
• Vacuum, clean, shampoo carpeted areas.
• Sweep and mop hard surface flooring.
• Clean and vacuum elevator and tracks.
• Replenish bathroom supplies such as toilet tissue, seat covers, paper towels, soap, hand sanitizer, etc.
• Polish chrome and stainless-steel fixtures and touch points.
• Deep clean bathrooms, café, and other public areas.
• Maintain equipment and storage areas in good working conditions.
• Respond to spills or other hazards that may cause injuries to people or property.
• Additional duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience: At least one (1) year of janitorial experience preferred
• Experience working in a professional sports environment preferred; but not required
• Effective communication and the ability to always work well with others.
• Capacity to follow instructions and work with minimum supervision.
• Represent the Arizona Cardinals in a professional, and ethical manner.
• Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity around professional athletes in their work environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, walk up and down stairs and ladders and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Flexibility to work events and evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
• Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
