Job summary

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher for our Nutrition Services team in Tempe, AZ. This full-time, non-exempt role requires flexibility to work 6am–7pm, Monday through Sunday, with shifts varying by game and practice schedules.

In-person work at the Arizona Cardinals facility is expected. Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen cleanliness, operating the industrial dishwasher, coordinating dishware, and supporting training camp meal operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Fast-paced food service environment preferred.
• Team player with ability to work in a dynamic setting.
• Maintains uniform and personal hygiene per department standards.
• Basic knife skills preferred.
• Familiarity with dish safety standards and operating an industrial dish machine.
• Communicates inventory needs to Executive Chef.
• Able to perform simple prep projects.
• Energetic, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate and clean using an industrial dishwasher or by hand.
• Maintain clean kitchen and equipment at A-grade standards.
• Organize dishware and distribute to storage areas.
• Rotate and store food to meet safety standards (FIFO).
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
• Support training camp meal operations at off-site locations.
• Report breakages and supply shortages to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Reports To: Executive Team Chef

Location: Arizona Cardinals (Tempe, AZ). NOTE: Starting 2028, this role will be based at the new Arizona Cardinals Training Facility in north Phoenix, AZ.

Format: In-person

Schedule: Colleagues must be available to work Monday – Sunday between 6am – 7pm. Days and hours (including holidays) will vary depending on business needs and team practice and game schedule.

Summary

As a member of the Arizona Cardinals Nutrition Services Department, the Dishwasher is responsible for the overall maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards at the training facility kitchen. This position will have the expectation to perform at the high standard of the Arizona Cardinals. The effectiveness of the position will have a direct impact on the team on-field performance and success.

Primary Job Duties

• Works cooperatively to execute the high standards of Arizona Cardinals meal services.
• Maintain an A grade level cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment.
• Conduct general kitchen cleanliness and organization as directed.
• Conduct cleaning of dishware, plasticware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc. utilizing the industrial dishwasher or by hand, when necessary.
• Organize all clean dishware and distribute to appropriate cook line/other storage areas.
• Follow procedures for serving food, as well as rotating and storing food within coolers, freezers, dry storage, etc. utilizing a FIFO-approach (including labeling, dating, rotating, and screening products to meet food safety and organizational standards).
• Adhere to guidelines for discarding or returning products that do not meet organizational standards.
• Communicates with supervisor when dish machine falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Reports breakages, cleaning supply inventory and other issues to direct supervisor.
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
• Participate with preparation of Training Camp meal operations at off-site locations.
• Collects dirty dishes from Front of House areas.
• Removes trash, breaks down boxes and bulk trash.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education: Food service background preferred; High school or equivalent
• Experience: Experienced working in fast-paced food service setting preferred
• Understands importance of working as a team player
• Maintains work uniform and personal hygiene to department standards
• Basic knife skills preferred
• Knowledge of dish safety standards and operating a industrial dish machine
• Ability to communicate inventory needs, questions or concerns to the Executive Chef
• Ability to perform simple prep projects
