Job summary

Thrive PropertyMx is hiring a Cleaning Technician to own cleanliness across five Milwaukee properties, focusing on move-out and rent-ready cleans. The role is full-time, field-based, and reports to the Property Services Manager in Milwaukee.

You will move between properties daily, perform deep cleans, and assist with grounds upkeep when needed. This is a hands-on cleaning role with growth opportunities in a growing portfolio.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license and reliable personal vehicle.
• Personal cell phone for daily coordination (required).
• Hands-on cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
• Comfortable with physical work, including bending, lifting and standing.
• Reliable and on time—attendance is critical.
• Willing to step into grounds tasks when needed to cover for your teammate.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience cleaning in multifamily or hospitality settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform move-out cleans immediately after a resident vacates, including deep cleaning of appliances.
• Perform final rent-ready clean after renovation to ensure unit is move-in ready.
• Clean common areas, hallways and shared spaces across all properties on a schedule.
• Flag cleanliness or condition issues to the supervisor.
• Walk properties to spot and remove trash and debris.
• Assist with grounds upkeep and snow removal when needed.
• Provide backup coverage with the Landscaper when they are out or behind.

Job description

About the Role

We’re hiring a Cleaning Technician to take ownership of cleanliness across our Milwaukee properties, with a strong focus on move-out and rent-ready cleans. This is primarily a cleaning role, with a smaller share of your time supporting grounds upkeep — and backing up our Landscaper entirely when they’re out.

This is a full-time, field-based position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You’ll be moving between all five of our Milwaukee properties regularly, working closely with our Landscaper counterpart, and reporting directly to Brittany, our Property Services Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Perform move-out cleans immediately after a resident vacates, including deep cleaning of refrigerators and stoves, so the renovation team can begin work without delay
• Perform the final rent-ready clean once renovation work is complete, so the unit is genuinely move-in ready for the next resident
• Clean common areas, hallways, and shared spaces across all five properties on a consistent schedule
• Flag any cleanliness or condition issues you notice to Brittany
• Walk each property regularly to spot and remove trash and debris
• Assist with general grounds upkeep and snow removal support when the Landscaper needs an extra set of hands
• Backup coverage: you and our Landscaper cover for each other. If they’re out sick or running behind, we’ll need you to step in on grounds tasks — including mowing — so things don’t fall behind. It’s part of how the two roles support each other.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cleaning or janitorial experience preferred
• Comfortable with physical work, including bending, lifting, and sustained standing
• Reliable and on time, every day — this role depends on it, since the backup system only works if both people show up
• Willing to step into grounds tasks when needed to cover for your counterpart
• Authorized to work in the United States
• A strong plus: experience cleaning in a multifamily or hospitality setting, or experience with move-out/turnover cleaning specifically

Pay

• $16/hour to start
• $18/hour automatically after your first 90 days
• Monthly gas stipend for travel between properties
