Job summary

Weecare Daycare is seeking a Cleaning Assistant to maintain a clean and orderly child care environment. The role focuses on cleaning classrooms, offices, bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas, following strict guidelines and checklists.

You will report hazards and help with laundering and stocking supplies, while supporting staff and complying with health and safety standards. The position is part-time, with a typical schedule Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 6:30 pm, and the wage starts at

Qualifications

• Must have proven working experience as a cleaner.
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Follow the guidelines for a Clean and Healthy Child Care Environment, as posted in all rooms.
• Use and complete checklists for cleaning classrooms, offices, bathrooms, hallways, kitchens, break rooms, parking lots and playgrounds.
• Report any noticed hazards to the director immediately.
• Follow proper procedures for laundering items within the center.
• Follow proper procedures for cleaning and sanitizing materials within the center.
• Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, restroom cleaning, laundry, etc).
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.

We are looking for a Cleaning Assistant to take care of our child care center and carry out cleaning duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition daily.

Duties & Responsibilities:

In addition to primary position description, additional duties include:

• Follows the guidelines for a Clean and Healthy Child Care Environment, as posted in all rooms
• Uses and completes checklists for cleaning classrooms, offices, bathrooms, hallways, kitchens, break rooms, parking lots and playgrounds.
• Reports any noticed hazards to the director immediately
• Follows proper procedures for laundering items within the center
• Follows proper procedures for cleaning and sanitizing materials within the center
• Follow the Guidelines for a Clean and Healthy Child Care Environment, as posted in all rooms
• Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, restroom cleaning, laundry, etc)
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school degree
• Complete and pass a background check
• Have a negative TB test
• Complete program based staff policies and training orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven working experience as a cleaner
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets

Wage is based on experience and level of education. The starting wage is $17.50 per hour.

The typical schedule will be Monday-Friday 3:30-6:30 pm.
