Job summary

Kids Kingdom Daycare is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for children. You will clean classrooms, bathrooms, and play areas, sanitizing surfaces and toys to support healthy routines and daily activities.

This part-time role offers after-school hours (3–6 PM) with paid training and no weekends or holidays. Ideal for candidates who work well independently or as part of a team and value a community-focused, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, preferably in childcare or educational settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and sanitization techniques.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Strong attention to detail for high cleanliness standards.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move equipment.
• Strong communication with staff and management.
• Background check and child safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize classrooms, bathrooms, and play areas.
• Dust and wipe surfaces, including shelves, windows, and furniture.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors for safety and cleanliness.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste responsibly.
• Disinfect toys and learning materials regularly.
• Assist with laundry duties (linens and cloths).
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize classrooms, bathrooms, and play areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including shelves, windows, and furniture to create a clean and inviting atmosphere.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure safety and cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste responsibly to support our eco-friendly initiatives.
• Clean and disinfect toys and learning materials regularly to prevent the spread of germs.
• Assist with laundry duties, including washing and folding linens and cloths used within the facility.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a child care or educational setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of cleaning supplies and proper sanitization techniques.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move cleaning equipment as needed.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and management.
• A valid background check and certification in child safety are required.
