Job summary

Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc. is seeking a Cleaning and Environmental Technician to execute project work both inland and offshore. This role requires offshore exposure, hands-on tank work, and adherence to safety programs.

The candidate must be available on call, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a valid TWIC card and driver's license. The position involves loading/unloading materials, working in varied conditions, and completing required training while following company procedures

Qualifications

• 2+ years offshore experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• On Call work including nights, weekends and holidays required.
• Valid Driver's License
• Must pass MVR check
• Must pass T-Huet (Water Survival Training)
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Must pass a background check
• Must have Valid TWIC card

Responsibilities

• Work on land and offshore.
• Load and unload materials.
• Enter offshore tanks and remove products using hoses and pumps.
• Clean offshore tanks after product removal.
• Enforce project standards and company policies.
• Complete all required training.
• Participate in Gulf Island safety program.

Main Purpose:

The main purpose of the Cleaning and Environmental Technician is to execute Cleaning and Environmental project work assignments inland and offshore.

Essential Functions:

• Work on land and offshore (GOA)
• Work loading and unloading materials
• Enter offshore tanks and remove products by handling hoses and pumps
• Clean offshore tanks after the removal of products
• Effectively apply company policy and procedures and enforces project standards
• Complete all required training
• Participate in Gulf Island safety program
• Work On Call, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Environmental Conditions:

80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc.
